Room was comfortable, clean and large, the free shuttle. Nice location, access to the restaurant (Hilton))
The complimentary breakfast. The location was good, proximity to airport and close to church
The beds were nice in our room. The hotel was situated very close to the Q7 bus stop, just 15 minutes walking distance. The breakfast had lots of food, like fruit, yogurt and fresh fruit.
The beds are very comfortable, the shuttle from the airport to the hotel very comfortable and fast, the breakfast quite complete. Perfect to spend a night when your plane is late to NY. The check in and out is fast despite a setback we had.
We had planned to pay as much as possible with a credit card so as not to carry cash, but what was our surprise was that the hotel did not accept our card, and we tried with 5. What was our surprise was that the next day we paid for the rental car and had no problem. We don't know what the problem really was because the hotels that we had to pay in advance accepted our card without any problem. The thing is that we left half of the money we had with us and it made us very angry.
transfer to the airport, close to the airport, you are left in federal circle and there you can take the airtrain to the airport or the subway system, very good, clean room, delicious bed.
person who attended the check in had ZERO HAMPTONALITY. check in mechanic, delivered all the information speaking very fast the english, did not take into account if he was understood or not, it seems that he forgets that most of the people are tourists. Never a smile.. almost dismissive, her name Tina, I think it is important that the hotel knows. We arrived at early check in, I charge extra for $60. Afterwards she told us that the only room she had was near the elevator (and the truth was fine, we didn't see any impediment). We had a car, he didn't even let us talk, he said the parking lot was 25 dollars extra. We told him that we were only there while he checked in and then we would deliver it to the car rental. Then he told us that we only had 15 minutes to get out, we had to run to deliver the car. We were charged for the use of the business center, it was not a cheap rate, over 200 usd and they charge you for something that a tourist clearly will not use. It's not the first time I've stayed in a hampton, of all the hamptons this is the one I liked the least in terms of the treatment and conditions of the extra charges.
Very professional staff. Excellent shuttle service to and from the airport. Very close to the airport.
Closeness to airport
Unable to have dinner in hotel had to go next door and the buffet of $20.00 per person was very poor.
Very convenient, price is good, breakfast is good, tea/coffee facility all day. Staff were very helpful and friendly, shuttle bus a big plus.
Our room was at the lift and vending machines, which means a very disturbing night.
The hotel is conveniently located to the. JFK international Airport and it suited our purpose as we only wanted a one night stay as we picked up our hire car the next day. The hotel provided a free shuttle service to/ from Federation Circle which was very convenient Being able to have dinner next door at the Hilton suited us also.there was a good selection at reasonable prices,
The breakfast selection was very basic .
Very comfortable beds. Good for a one night stop-over if you need to be near jfk. Internet. Staff are calm and helpful.
The hotel does not have a restaurant or shops nearby. You can order delivery from places like Dominos Pizza and other Italian or Chinese restaurants, but expect a wait. Or you can go next door to the Hilton and buy dinner there (very average food, and expensive). Cost of the hotel is very high, I suppose they are cashing in on being near the airport, but remember they don't offer anything else, and are not conveniently located if you wish to go anywhere other than the airport. If you need/want to get into New York it is a choice between 1) a cab (costing at least $60-70), 2) a bus and then a train, or 3) the shuttle bus, airport train, and then train into ny (latter two taking at least 1.5-2hours). If you want to get a cab to the train station (Jamaica) cost $15-20. This stay the hotel was having lobby refurbished -- entrance via the side, makeshift offices and breakfast areas. Quite shabby. I'm sure it will be better when complete -- but while this is happening, perhaps not even a good option to be near airport.
The rooms were big, the people at reception are very friendly and there's a free shuttle once every hour to the JFK-terminal.
The location was not good, amids Jamaica/Queens. There's no room service or no restaurant close by. To get to nyc is impossible by car unless you want to be in a traffic jam for 2 hours. To get there via the shuttle and then the air train into the subway also takes 1.5 hours ... Great if you just want to sleep and leave to the airport in the morning, but then the rates are pretty steep.
Close to airport for transit purposes. Complimentary bus was not obvious and we missed it! To have complimentary internet access in the room was excellent. Comfortable bed and felt clean. Excellent breakfast choice. Staff were courteous.
Too hot in the room and the air-con was too noisy to leave on overnight plus the filter was very dusty/dirty (room 603). The bathroom looked 'tired' Only one lift (elevator) working. The breakfast area was a bit 'industrial'. I saw one of the staff rub his nose with his gloved finger and then start arranging the bread counter - that was off-putting!
Smoke alarm kept going off. Had it changed twice in the middle of the night. When I spoke to the desk manager the next day he wasn't interested. No bar and no food on site.
Comfy bed, OK breakfast, airport shuttle, great staff
Wifi inconsistent, Location far from metro
Breakfasts were great. Staff very helpful and efficient shuttle service good
We had to call the shuttle from federal circle every time we needed it but Hampton is not listed at the airport. Our cell phones don't work in USA so other people had to call for us which meant a longer wait
